PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

  • History, safety, mechanism of action, and preparation of Dermal Fillers and Neurotoxins.
  • Pharmacological effects and contraindications, including potential drug interactions.
  • Management of complications.
  • Training in facial anatomy and physiology as it applies to facial aesthetics including:
    • Anatomy of head and neck
    • Neurophysiology, including facial tissue, parasympathetic, sympathetic and peripheral nervous systems relative to peri-oral tissue and facial architecture
  • Accurate documentation including drug, dosage and sites of injections
  • Patient Selection including:
    • Indications and contraindications
    • Medical history including medications, allergies and relevant problems

Day 1

Dermal Fillers Administration
Basic Hands-On Training

Special Learning Objectives

  • Understand facial fillers and storage techniques
  • Learn what kind of wrinkles can be improved by facial fillers
  • Local anesthesia including specific dental blocks and infiltration
  • Discuss pros and cons of most dermal fillers including fillers on the horizon
  • Live Model demonstration
  • Hands on training/ live models- to be provided by attendee

Day 2

Neurotoxin Administration
Basic Hands-On Training

Special Learning Objectives

  • Learn what kind of wrinkles can be improved by neurotoxins
  • Understand storage, reconstitution and injection techniques
  • Know the difference between dynamic and static wrinkles
  • Botulinium toxin treatment of TMJ syndrome and bruxism
  • Live model demonstration
  • Hands on training/ live models- to be provided by attendee

    • 2 syringes of fillers and neurotoxin for 3 areas will be supplied
    • Additional product will be offered at a significant discount rate

Instructor:   Dr. Bruce G. Freund, DDS
Bruce G. Freund, DDS received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. For over 25 years he has been in private practice in New York and New Jersey, focusing his practice on cosmetic and restorative techniques. He has gained wide respect as an authority in the placement of veneers and has worked as a lecturer and hands-on trainer at NYU and Mt. Sinai and for one of the largest cosmetic dental companies in the United States. Dr. Freund has been doing facial injections for over 20 years and has been a trainer for all the major companies.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked) in writing via mail or email. Please call the school for email address at 973-808-1666. Cancellation Policy must be strictly enforced since workshops require a great deal of planning and preparation. A refund will be given, less a $200.00 processing fee, if cancelled 21 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any cancellation less than 21 days will not qualify for a refund. Since a minimum number of registrants are necessary for each course if we do not meet this minimum, or for any other reason beyond our control the course is cancelled or postponed, registration fee will be refunded in full. The AAFC is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable airline tickets or fees associated with necessary changes.
