Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
- Understand the cause of the “Shingles” Herpetic Virus
- Be able to identify what the virus looks like vs. other rashes or skin conditions
- Be familiar with the duration of the virus and the diagnosis techniques available
- The prevention and management of this virus
Course Description:
This program will discuss the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, duration, and current treatment options of the Herpes Virus, “Shingles”. Most of the time the only mention we hear about “Shingles” is a TV commercial about current vaccine options. This course will go into depth about the virous and how prevalent is really is. What does the symptoms look like, how to identify if you have Shingles vs. other rashes. What are your prevention and treatment options. This program is a must for everyone to understand, properly diagnose, and treat this virus.

Requirements to attend a live webinar:
- You will need a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer to view it. If using a smartphone or tablet, it is best to have the app for the program on your device (i.e. Zoom).
- To verify your continued attendance during the class, you will need a microphone, webcam or the ability to type into the program’s live chat.
- Instructors or school personnel will take attendance periodically throughout the class.
- Instructors may call on participants.
- To verify attendance, a code word may be given sometime during the class.
- You will be required to complete and return an evaluation after the course has ended. The evaluation may ask what code word was given.
- You may not receive your Certificate of Completion if we cannot verify your attendance.
- Tuition will not be refunded under these circumstances

Certificates of Completion are emailed to students approximately 5 business days after the course.
This program is for the full dental staff – no prior skills are needed to attend.
The teaching method will be in a lecture format with a Q & A period.
