Introduction to Dental Assisting- General Office: Live Webinar with Hands on Portion

Join the exciting field of Dental Assisting!

Meets One Day a WEEK   Time: 6:30pm to 9:30pm EST 

Course Description & Learning Objectives:

Participants will learn dental terminology, dental instruments, dental materials, chair side dental assisting, four handed dentistry, medical history taking, blood pressure, proper office protocols, infection control, dental charting, and much more. This course provides both didactic and laboratory instruction of dental assisting in the general dental office setting.

Designed for the individual who has minimal or no formal dental experience.  Students will need a lab jacket and safety glasses for clinic learning. Both items can be purchased at the school. Books are included within the tuition of this program. This program is a LIVE INTERACTIVE Webinar and the last class is held in person at our school.

Requirements to attend a live webinar: 

• You will need a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer to view it. If using a smartphone or tablet, it is best to have the app for the program on your device (i.e. Zoom).
• To verify your continued attendance during the class, you will need a microphone or the ability to type into the program’s live chat.
• You need a camera.  The teacher must be able to see you during the class at all times.
• Instructors or school personnel will take attendance periodically throughout the class.
• Instructors may call on participants.
• You may not receive your Certificate of Completion if we cannot verify your attendance.

Students will come into the school for the last day of class so they can have a hands-on laboratory experience.
