The Perio BOOST Hands-On Workshop combines practical education, clinical application, and hands-on learning designed for dental professionals who want to move beyond conventional periodontal care and incorporate a more comprehensive, biologically informed approach into everyday practice.

Participants will explore oral-systemic links, bioregulatory medicine, terrain theory, the pillars of health, fluoride alternatives, caries prevention, salivary testing, phase-contrast microscopy, medical-grade ozone, airway screening, and additional strategies that support individualized patient care.

This intensive workshop is designed to help attendees better recognize the factors that influence oral health, identify potential systemic contributors, and implement practical screening and therapeutic concepts in the dental setting.

 

Meet the Instructors:

Barbara K. Tritz, BRDH, MSB, BSDATE, is an esteemed international guest speaker, accomplished writer, and dedicated biological dental hygienist at Green City Dental in Edmonds, Washington. As the founder and owner of Washington Oral Wellness in Kirkland, WA, Barbara specializes in orofacial myofunctional therapy, providing a holistic approach to dental health and wellness.

Passionate about promoting total body health, Barbara has expanded her influence through her blog and website, QueenofDentalHygiene.net. Through this platform, she shares valuable insights and knowledge, empowering individuals to take charge of their oral and overall health.

Frances K. Horning, BRDH, is the Associate Director of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine; she serves on their Board and is the Hygiene Committee Chair and a Certified and Accredited Biological Dental Hygienist. Additionally, she is a Hygiene Committee member, mentor, and lecturer for the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. She lectures at and for several biological and traditional organizations nationwide, is an international public speaker, and performs individualized on-site office training. She was formerly the Qualitative Director and department head in charge of quality control and training and implementation of biological protocols in the most prominent biological practice in her state. Additionally, she is a coach and trainer of biological dentistry and biological dental hygiene and the owner of Integrative Perio Solutions LLC and Hygiene Naturally. Fran is an active member of the IABDM, IAOMT, ADHA, and AAOSH. Her presentations and training receive rave reviews.

Kathryn Gilliam, BA, RDH, MAAOSH, HIAOMT, Founder and CEO of PerioLinks, LLC, a speaking and consulting company, is an Integrative Dental Hygienist and a Certified Biological Dental Hygienist. She is a Lead Clinical Coach with her dream team, Inspired Hygiene. Kathryn is focused on empowering dental professionals to powerfully impact the whole health of their patients and grow their practices. Kathryn’s interest in the medical side of dentistry led her to years of advanced study of oral-systemic connections and the medical model of care. Kathryn guides teams to integrate the latest science into practical clinical protocols. Even after 38 years as a dental hygienist, Kathryn still loves and is passionate about her career and she feels her purpose is to love her patients back to health.
