Instructor: Dr. Russ Bergman
Dr. Russ Bergman is currently the Vice Chair and Program Director of the General Practice Residency in Dentistry of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where he is responsible for the clinical, educational, and financial aspects of the Department of Dentistry. Prior to his current position he was the Program Director of Bethlehem Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg’s GPR Program from 1997-2010. He is a member of the Medical Staffs of both Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and of Lehigh Valley Health Network. A Graduate of Muhlenberg College, the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine, and the Dental Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Dr. Bergman has been a Clinician and Educator for over 25 years. He is a past Delegate to the Pennsylvania Dental Association, President of American Dental Education Association’s Section of Postgraduate General Dentistry, and a Program Site Visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dr. Bergman is an elected member of Newark Beth Israel’s Medical Executive Committee. Additionally, he currently holds a position on the New Jersey Health Coalition which was formed in 2000 to foster and promote the equitable access of quality oral health care for all of New Jersey’s residents.
